While studying pre-med at a university in Saint
Louis, Mark Schneiderhahn decided to make a course correction and
pursue his real dream
.to become a professional pilot. "When
I look back, I remember taking my first airplane ride with a friend
of my father. It was truly an incredible experience but I did not
know how to make a career in aviation a reality", explains
Mark. During his junior year in college he decided to follow his
true calling and began taking his first flight lessons. His initial
training was at a local school but got frustrated because of their
lack of professionalism, high instructor turnover, and overall poor
condition of their aircraft. "I needed to find an aviation
school that was professional and could really help me reach my goals",
states Mark.
Being a student, financial considerations were
important. Mark began looking for a professional flight school in
Florida. "I visited all of the big name schools and they were
good schools but not affordable. I also needed the flexibility to
work while in training and it wasn't practical while attending any
of these flight schools" adds Mark. While looking around in
his local area, Mark found The Flight Academy of Langa Air. "It
was perfect for my needs. There was a very professional atmosphere,
it was affordable, they operate a fleet of new aircraft, they have
very low CFI turnover, they offered a financing option, and through
the use of their customized courses and computer based training,
they offered me all the flexibility I needed while still being an
accelerated program", says Mark.
Mark has since completed his training and is now
a professional flight instructor with The Flight Academy of Langa
Air. "I still can't believe I am actually being paid to fly.
It is amazing how fast my hours are adding up. Everyday I am one
step closer to flying for an airline", adds Mark.
"Thanks Langa Air for helping me make my dream
a reality."
** Since this
was written, Mark has been hired and is now an active Captain with
Chautauqua Airlines.
